Reasoning Modes

AirOS Co-Pilot offers two reasoning modes to cater to your query’s complexity:
Quick:
Purpose: Provides fast, concise responses ideal for straightforward queries.
Use Case: Best for simple look-ups or when you need immediate information.
Smarter:
Purpose: Delivers in-depth analysis and detailed responses.
Use Case: Ideal for complex queries that require nuanced insights and comprehensive troubleshooting.

Using AirOS Co-Pilot

1. Enter Your Query:
  • Type your question or request in the input field using everyday language.
  • Examples:
  • Quick Reasoning
  • What is the current maintenance status of our fleet?”
  • “ When was EASA AD 2025-0001 released?“
  • “ What is our Deferred Defect policy?
  • Smart Reasoning
  • I have MAG HDG FAIL on the MFD of a BK117 D3, help me troubleshoot the issue.
  • Help me draft a procedure for aircraft defect troubleshooting.
2. Review the Response:
  • AirOS Copilot processes your query and provides relevant, actionable information.
  • AirOS uses internal knowledge from information uploaded by your organisation. If it fails to fetch the information required from your organisations data, it may use external publically available knowledge.
  • The source of it's knowledge will always be provided.
  • If needed, refine your query or ask follow-up questions for additional details.
3. Utilize the Provided Insights:
  • Use the answers to inform decisions, troubleshoot issues, or brainstorm new strategies.
  • Access real-time data directly within your AirOS environment for continuous monitoring and management.



AirOS Copilot Trustworthiness

AirOS Copilot is engineered with your regulatory and operational needs in mind. When it comes to receiving airworthiness information from an AI source, our platform is built to provide not only actionable insights but also a high level of trust through rigorous compliance, confidence, and assurance measures.

Despite this, AirOS Copilot is not your CAMO, Type Engineer or Type Certificate Holder. Ensure the information given is validated with trusted source data. AirOS Copilot has been engineered to support this by providing source details for each and every request. However, this service is not yet perfect, it can and it will fail to provide 100% accurate information.

Level 1 AI: assistance to human
Level 2 AI: human-AI teaming
Level 3 AI: advanced automation
  • Level 1A: Human augmentation
  • Level 1B: Human cognitive assistance in decision-making and action selection
  • Level 2A: Human and AI-based system cooperation
  • Level 2B: Human and AI-based system collaboration
Level 3A: The AI-based system performs decisions and actions that are overridable by the human.
• Level 3B: The AI-based system performs non-overridable decisions and actions (e.g. to support safety upon loss of human oversight).
AirOS Copilot is currently working at Level 1B AI
  • Level 1A: Human augmentation
  • Level 1B: Human cognitive assistance in decision-making and action selection
We are working hard to develop AirOS Copilot in line with aviation safety regulators, with the roadmap to becoming Level 2B in the coming years for selected modules within AirOS (Fleet scheduling, Roster Management etc)
We are not currently intending on developing Level 3 AI, where AI performs decision making and actions on behalf of the human.
